The Little Old Lady from Pasadena never had a facelift like the Contour ThreadLift™

The Contour ThreadLift™ is an innovation in non-surgical facelift procedures that allows Dr. Wang to give you a natural looking facial enhancement without surgery. The Contour ThreadLift™ can be used to lift and enhance the brow line, cheeks, jowls and neck without an invasive surgical procedure and without a long recovery period. The true beauty of the Contour ThreadLift™ is that over time the procedure can be adjusted for additional contouring and lifting.

The Contour ThreadLift™ is achieved by imbedding tiny, barbed threads into the underlying facial tissues with a hollow bore needle. Once the threads are precisely placed, the evenly spaced barbs open out like an umbrella gently lifting sagging tissues and creating a suspension effect that becomes reinforced as the body naturally builds new collagen tissue around the threads.

At Wang Plastic Surgery, the Contour ThreadLift™ procedure takes about an hour and is performed either under local anesthesia or with sedation/general anesthesia. Hypoallergenic polypropylene barbed sutures are inserted beneath the skin and looped around deep supporting tissues of the brows, cheeks, jowls and neck with a hollow bore needle. Dr. Wang then lifts, sculpts and shapes the areas as desired. The threads are tied and cut once the desired results are achieved, allowing them to retract deep beneath the skin where they cannot be felt or seen.

You will begin to see results immediately after your procedure. Additional contouring is possible over the next 72 hours for added effect. You may experience swelling and some bruising in the first few days, but many patients are able to resume light, public activities by the fifth day using makeup to cover up any discoloration.

Usually the effects of the Contour ThreadLift™ last for three to five years. As time and gravity continue to take their toll, additional Contour Threads™ can be deployed and adjusted for further enhancements.
